HOW TO EXPERIENCE CHANGE IN 2019

Almost everyone is talking about 2019 , different expectations & plans are lined up,   everyone is believing God for the best & new things.  You must understand that the change you expect will not just come to you because it's 2019 , the newness of 2019 is not just in calendar days & dates. There must be something notable & visible that separates 2018 & 2019.  For change to transpire it goes beyond mere wishes & plans ; you must prepare & apply principles that attracts new things. Real change is a product of action there's no change without action , after planning & declaring you must take the appropriate action.  You can't experience change in 2019 simply because it's 2019 , if you enter 2019 without changing your old habits & lifestyle, you can always experience same issues. Before you change your circumstances you must change your character & attitude; change is not a coincidence, it's attracted by a particular character...

THINGS WE SHOULD NEVER DO TO OUR PARENTS

Image
1. Never take your parents to court regardless of the value of the property involved. If God wanted you to have that property, you would have been born with it. 2. Never repossess what you once gave a parent.  3. Never interrogate parents regarding WHAT THEY DID with the last money you gave them. You can find out wisely.  But once you realize it may raise issues, leave it at that. 4. Never lecture parents regarding their apparent weaknesses. You have not outlived them. And you haven't lived long enough.  5. A parent may take you to court, repossess what he gave you, interrogate you and even lecture you. 6. WISE PEOPLE CAN STAND A PARENT'S SPIT ON THEIR FACES. THEY KNOW IT'S A BLESSING IN  DISGUISE.  7. You will never be rich enough to do a parent any favour. All you do for them is a privilege of service. They birthed you but you can never birth them. You simply cannot pay them in kind!!! 8. IF YOU CAN BUY LIFE, THEN YOU CAN LEC...

Pope Francis homily / sermon on 30/12/2018

READ IT AGAIN AND AGAIN: *You can have flaws, be anxious, and even be angry, but do not forget that your life is the greatest enterprise in the world. Only you can stop it from going bust. Many appreciate you, admire you and love you. Remember that to be happy is not to have a sky without a storm, a road without accidents, work without fatigue, relationships without disappointments. To be happy is to find strength in forgiveness, hope in battles, security in the stage of fear, love in discord. It is not only to enjoy the smile, but also to reflect on the sadness. It is not only to celebrate the successes, but to learn lessons from the failures. It is not only to feel happy with the applause, but to be happy in anonymity. Being happy is not a fatality of destiny, but an achievement for those who can travel within themselves. To be happy is to stop feeling like a victim and become your destiny's author. It is to cross deserts, yet to be able to find an oasis in the depth...

Reading 1  IS 48:17-19 Thus says the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I, the LORD, your God, teach you what is for your good, and lead you on the way you should go. If you would hearken to my commandments, your prosperity would be like a river, and your vindication like the waves of the sea; Your descendants would be like the sand, and those born of your stock like its grains, Their name never cut off or blotted out from my presence. Responsorial Psalm  PS 1:1-2, 3, 4 AND 6 R. (see John 8:12) Those who follow you, Lord, will have the light of life. Blessed the man who follows not the counsel of the wicked Nor walks in the way of sinners, nor sits in the company of the insolent, But delights in the law of the LORD and meditates on his law day and night. R. Those who follow you, Lord, will have the light of lif e. He is like a tree planted near running water, That yields its fruit in due se...

Daily Readings....December 12, 2018 Reading 1   ZEC 2:14-17 Sing and rejoice, O daughter Zion!  See, I am coming to dwell among you, says the LORD. Many nations shall join themselves to the LORD on that day, and they shall be his people, and he will dwell among you, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. The LORD will possess Judah as his portion in the holy land, and he will again choose Jerusalem. Silence, all mankind, in the presence of the LORD! For he stirs forth from his holy dwelling. Or  RV 11:19A; 12:1-6A, 10AB God's temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant could be seen in the temple. A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven he...

Lessons from 11/12/2018 Gospel

Image
The Gospel is about the lost one sheep in a flock of 100 sheep. What we learn from this parable is that Jesus loves us unconditionally,it doesn't matter why we got lost or who made us get lost.God welcomes us us back to his ways and kingdom.Though some of us are compromised we cannot help ourselves even though we know we are in a mess God is giving us an assurance that he will surely find us. As Christians we should not therefore be judgmental on others ,otherwise ,we should be ready to receive the wrongdoers. It is our duties to find the lost (some are lost physically, emotional & spiritually)and bring them to Jesus our saviour. Let us open our hearts to Jesus and let him stay and he will be the light of our lives

December 11, 2018   Tuesday of the Second Week of Advent Reading 1  IS 40:1-11 Comfort, give comfort to my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her service is at an end, her guilt is expiated; Indeed, she has received from the hand of the LORD double for all her sins. A voice cries out: In the desert prepare the way of the LORD! Make straight in the wasteland a highway for our God! Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill shall be made low; The rugged land shall be made a plain, the rough country, a broad valley. Then the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all people shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken. A voice says, "Cry out!" I answer, "What shall I cry out?" "All flesh is grass, and all their glory like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower wilts, when the breath of the LORD blows upon it. ...

Catholic Daily Readings-10/12/2018

Monday of the Second Week of Advent Reading 1  ISIAH 35:1-10 The desert and the parched land will exult; the steppe will rejoice and bloom. They will bloom with abundant flowers, and rejoice with joyful song. The glory of Lebanon will be given to them, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; They will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God. Strengthen the hands that are feeble, make firm the knees that are weak, Say to those whose hearts are frightened: Be strong, fear not! Here is your God, he comes with vindication; With divine recompense he comes to save you. Then will the eyes of the blind be opened, the ears of the deaf be cleared; Then will the lame leap like a stag, then the tongue of the mute will sing. Streams will burst forth in the desert, and rivers in the steppe. The burning sands will become pools, and the thirsty ground, springs of water; The abode where jackals lurk will be a marsh for the reed...
